Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Judge (oral)

It is over an year that the respondents have failed to

execute the judgment in question under the garb that the matter

is sub judice before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, where stay has

been granted in two of the cases, i.e. SLP No. 23161/2024

1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Yes.

(Diary No. 37523/2024), titled as State of H.P. vs. Kanta

Sharma and Special Leave Petition (Diary) No. 46260/2024,

titled as Vinay Kumari vs. State of H.P.

2 We notice that in Kanta Sharma's case, the Hon'ble

Supreme Court had passed a detailed order setting out therein

reasons why the judgment is being stayed. Likewise is the SLP

(Diary) No. 60557/2024, titled as State of H.P. Roop Lal

where the petitioner before the High Court had already retired.

But in four other cases, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has not

granted any stay as would be clear from the order dated

24.2.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (Civil)

Diary No. 2584/2025, titled as State of H.P. vs. Dhirender

Singh & ors.

3 In this view of the matter, the respondents are directed

to comply with the judgment in question in its letter and spirit

and file compliance report on 4.6.2025.

4 The petition stands allowed in the aforesaid terms.

(Tarlok Singh Chauhan) Judge

(Sushil Kukreja) 14.5.2025 Judge (pankaj)
