The instant petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive
relief:-
"That a writ of mandamus may kindly be issued directing the respondents to grant gratuity and leave encashment to the
petitioner along with interest @ 12% per annum from the date of said dues.
2. Since in the case at hand, a writ of mandamus is being sought, therefore, in
the facts and attending circumstances of the case, it was incumbent upon the petitioner
to have first approached the respondents concerned/competent authority for redressal
of his grievance(s), which is being sought in the present petition.
3. Faced with the aforesaid, petitioner may make a representation before the
respondents concerned/competent authority.
4. In view of the above, present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms,
so also, pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
