Mr. Narender Guleria, Additional Advocate General with Mr. Sunny Dhatwalia, Assistant Advocate General, for the respondents.
While inviting attention of this Court to order dated
21.10.2022 passed by Division Bench in an LPA having been filed by
respondents against judgment alleged to have been violated, Mr.
Narinder Guleria, learned Additional Advocate General states that
though no stay has been granted against judgment in question, but it has
been observed by Division Bench that prayer for adjournment of
contempt case may be made before this Court.
Though, having taken note of the fact that no stay has
been granted against the judgment in question, there appears to be no
reason to accede to the request made by respondents,. but on the
vehement request of learned Additional Advocate General, matter is
adjourned by two weeks, enabling respondents to comply with the
judgment, failing which this court shall have no option but to issue
notices to the respondents that why contempt proceedings be not
initiated against them for willful disobedience of the judgment in
question.
List on 7.11.2022. On the next date of hearing,
respondents shall remain present in the court, in the event of non-
compliance of judgment alleged to have been violated.
