Cr. MP No. 1198 of 2021

This is an application for suspension of sentence.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that

the applicant was on bail during trial. The revision has been

listed for hearing on 31st August, 2021. There are arguable

points in the revision. In these circumstances, operation of the

judgments passed by the learned Courts below as also the

substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant/petitioner is

suspended, subject to applicant depositing 50% of the total

compensation amount in the learned Trial Court within a

period of four weeks from today and furnishing personal bond

in the sum of Rs.25,000/­ with one surety in the like amount

to the satisfaction of learned Trial Court within the same

period, with the condition that the applicant shall appear in

the Court as and when directed and shall surrender to serve

out the sentence imposed, in case his revision is ultimately

dismissed. The compensation amount which has already been

deposited by the applicant shall be taken into consideration

while calculating the 50% of total compensation amount. The

application stands disposed of accordingly.
