1. These contempt proceedings have been initiated for
alleged violation of common judgment dated 25.9.2019
passed in Special Civil Application No.8970 of 2019 and
Special Civil Application No.12090 of 2019. This order
passed by the learned Single Judge is now pending in
Letters Patent Appeal No.827 of 2020 and Letters Patent
Appeal No.32 of 2021 respectively.

2. It is the grievance of Mr. Ekrama Qureshi, learned
counsel appearing for the complainants that the
order/direction passed by the learned Single Judge has not
been complied in toto. Whereas it is the stand of the State
that said order of the learned Single Judge came to be
passed Letters Patent Appeal No.1184 of 2017 and other
cognate matters and accordingly, computation has been
made and in Misc. Civil Application No.603 of 2021, the
applicant has been paid a sum of Rs.1,14,028/- on
6.2.2021 and in Misc. Civil Application No.604 of 2021, the
applicants have been paid a sum of Rs.14,222/- on
7.12.2021, Rs.74,772/- on 6.12.2021, Rs.96,443/- on
6.12.2021, Rs.80,108/- on 6.12.2021 and Rs.1,00,940/- on
7.12.2021 respectively except the 4th applicant and on
account of she having been selected on regular basis by
GPSC, her claim has not been considered. The issue
relating to quantum of entitlement is also at large in the
Letters Patent Appeal which has been filed by the State.
As such, without expressing any opinion on merits and by
closing the contempt proceedings and reserving liberty to
both the parties to urge their respective grounds, we do

not propose to proceed further in the contempt
proceedings and it stands closed. Misc. Civil Applications
accordingly stand dismissed. Notice is discharged.
