Heard Ms. S.K. Nargis, learned counsel for the accused petitioner. Also heard Mr. S.C. Keyal, learned Standing Counsel, NCB.

Ms. S.K. Nargis, learned counsel for the accused petitioner, submits that the accused petitioner has been in judicial custody since 25.01.2019, but till Page No.# 2/2

date charges are not yet framed by the learned Court below. Ms. Nargis has relied on the following judgments rendered by the Apex Court in 1) Rabi Prakash Vs. The State of Odisha in Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No.4169/2023 and 2) Mohd. Muslim Vs. State (NCT of Delhi) in Criminal Appeal No.943/2023.

Perusal of the scanned copy of the case record shows that the next date 22.08.2023 is fixed for production of the UTP and 14.09.2023 is fixed for production and hearing on charge.

In view of the above, call for an up-to-date status report on trial of the case along with copy of depositions of witnesses, if examined.
