Heard Mr. A. Ahmed, learned amicus curiae appearing for the appellant. Also heard Ms. S. Jahan, learned Addl. P.P. Assam appearing for the State.

This appeal is directed against the judgment dated 21-12-2021 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Karbi Anglong at Diphu in connection with Sessions Case No. Page No.# 2/2

40/2014 (old) and 18/2018 (new) convicting the appellant under Section 302 IPC and sentencing him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life and also to pay fine of Rs. 5,000/- with default stipulation.

Admit the appeal.

Call for the LCR.

Since the State is already represented by the learned Addl. P.P. Assam, no formal notice is required to be sent in this case.

It would, however, be open for the informant/ victim to participate in this proceeding and assist the learned Addl. P.P. Assam, if so advised, with the leave of the Court.
