                                            ORDER

A situation has arisen to the extent that in the judgment dated 23.09.2021 in WP(C)/6166/2018, there was a direction to the Principal of the Bilasipara College to update the service book of the petitioner and transmit it to the Mandia Anchalik College.

2. This contempt petition is instituted on an allegation of non-compliance of the said direction.

3. The Principal of Bilasipara College who is present before the Court has made a statement that the updated service book could not be transmitted inasmuch as the Kokrajhar College where the petitioner served prior to his service in the Bilasipara College is yet to provide the service book of the petitioner to the Bilasipara College.

4. Mr. K Gogoi, learned counsel for the Higher Education Department, Government of Assam prays for an adjournment to look into the matter as to whether the departmental authorities can make the Kokrajhar College to forthwith transmit the service book of the petitioner Dr. Malek Uddin to the Bilasipara College so as to enable the Principal of Bilasipara College to do the needful of the judgment dated 23.09.2021 in WP(C)/6166/2018.

5. Further appearance of the Principal stands dispensed with.
