G & T Beckfield Drilling Services Pvt. Ltd.) while the defendants have cited a

judgment reported in (2013) 15 SCC 217 (AVK Traders Vs. Kerala State Civil

Supplies Corporation Limited) and have made further arguments,

particularly on the interest rate. The plaintiff/petitioner has also relied upon

the provisions of Section 80 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 to

contend that interest rate should be considered to be 18% since there has

been a dishonour of cheque.
