In Re: IA NO: CRAN 1 of 2023

               1.

The CRAN application is filed with a prayer for bail on

the ground that the appellant remained on bail during

trial and he was taken into custody after conviction.

2. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the

petitioner/appellant prays for bail considering the term

imprisonment.

3. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State left

the mater to the discretion of the Court.

4. From the judgment and order of conviction dated

09.06.2023, it is found that the appellant was found

guilty of committing offence under Section

341/448/326 of the Indian Penal Code and he was

taken into custody and bail bond was cancelled.

5. However, considering the term imprisonment as well as

the fact that appellant remained on bail during trial,

the petitioner/appellant be enlarged on bail on

furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- with two sureties of

Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the

satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate

Purulia and further on condition that appellant shall

meet the Officer-in-Charge of Barabazar Police Station,

Purulia once in a fortnight and obtain

acknowledgement. In case of change of address

appellant shall inform the same to the Officer-in-

Charge of Barabaza Police Station, Purulia, and also to

the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purulia. In case

of violation of the order passed hereinabove, learned

Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purulia will be at liberty to

cancel the bail bond.

6. Accordingly, IA NO: CRAN 1 of 2023 stands disposed

of.
