Mr. Binoy Panda, accompanied by Mr. Pratick Bose, learned
advocates appears for the State. The petitioners, Abu Jafar
Jamadar and Mst. Jasmina Bibi are present without representation.
The petitioners who have been convicted in Session case
no.9(7) 2001 had challenged their conviction and sentence before
the Court of Sessions Judge, Alipore in the criminal appeal No.37
of 2006. Their conviction and sentence were affirmed. The
petitioners thereafter have challenged the judgment and order
passed in the Criminal Appeal No.37 of 2006 and are presently on
bail. The revisional application cannot be taken up for hearing
without proper representation of the petitioners.
Let notice be served upon the petitioners, Abu Jafar
Jamadar and Mst. Jasmina Bibi residents of village of Mohanpur,
Police Station - Diamond Harbour, District - 24 Parganas (South)
through the Officer-in-Charge, Diamond Harbour, P.S. directing
the petitioners to appear before this Court on 25.01.2022 for
hearing of the revisional application.
Lower Court Records has already been received.
Let the revisional application appear for hearing as
"Contested Application" on 25.01.2022.
Department is directed to communicate the order to Officer-
in-Charge, Diamond Harbour Police Station for necessary
compliance and report on the date fixed.
