CONTEMPT PETITION NO. 395/2023

1. Mr. Parchure, learned counsel for the petitioner, upon instructions, waives the claim for 4% interest upon the refund directed by the judgment dated 09.06.2023. The statement is accepted as a statement to the Court.

2. The learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondent / State has placed on record an order dated 14.8.2024, passed by the Collector, Amravati, by which, it has been directed, that the holding of the lands in question stands restored back to Class-I. The order is taken on record and marked as "X" for the purpose of identification, which according to Mr. Parchure, learned counsel for the petitioner redresses the grievance and effect compliance of the judgment dated 09.06.2023, accepting which, the notice is discharged.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondent / State seeks time to verify and state the position as to the status of the lands in question. List the matter after two weeks.

Writ Petition No.4798/2023 be detagged and list on 23.08.2024.
