Ghanekar submits that Mr. N.S. Ghanekar has filed Leave Note. Upon further
inquiry, he says that Mr. N.S. Ghanekar has gone to Mumbai for appearance
before the Principal Seat, by giving Leave Note here. This practice will have
have to be deprecated. In fact, no good ground has been shown for
adjourning the matter. The applicant/appellant is in jail. It appears that he
was taken in custody upon the pronouncement of the Judgment by the
Special Judge on 07.03.2022. He has been sentenced to suffer rigorous

imprisonment for 10 years for commission of offence punishable under
Section 376(2)(f) of the Indian Penal Code and rigorous imprisonment for 20
years for commission of offence punishable under Section 6 of the Protection
of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Stand over to 01.08.2022.
