Heard learned counsel for the rival parties in all these petitions. A common question arises for consideration.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that he is not pressing prayer clause (iv-a) and (vii-a) for the reason that

admittedly the benefits claimed under the said prayers have been already granted to the petitioners and other employees. He also submits on instructions that prayer clause VII(c) is not being pressed in these petitions, pertaining to challenge to Section 7 of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, on the touchstone of Article 14, 21, and 300-A of the Constitution of India.
