JUDGMENT:

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing

Smt. S.A.V. Ratnam, learned counsel representing on behalf of

Sri T.C. Krishnan, learned counsel for the appellant, submit that

no cause survives for adjudication in this appeal be closed.

2. Learned counsel for the respondent is present.

3. In view of the submission made by learned counsel for the

appellant, the appeal is dismissed as infructuous without costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall

stand closed.
