Sri Alladi Ravinder, learned senior counsel, assisted by Sri J.Srinadh Reddy, has concluded his arguments in W.P.No.7163 of 2023.

Placing reliance on judgments in the cases of Ajay Hasia v. Khalid Mujib Sehravardi {(1981) 1 SCC 722} and the Delhi Cloth & General Mills Company Limited (now Shriam Industrial Enterprises Limited) v. The Municipal Corporatin of Delhi {1992 SCC Online Del 495}, his submission is that imposing the duty at Re.1 on the industrial and commercial consumers and Re.0.6 paisa only in favour of domestic consumers exempting the agricultural consumers, is arbitrary, without any nexus, inasmuch as the objectives which grant subsidy.

Sri K. Gopal Chowdary, learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P.No.25165 of 2022, has concluded the arguments in reply.
