No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners to press the writ petition. However, Sri Ambrish Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appears for the State-respondents.

The challenge in the present petition is with regard to the reservation in OBC category by the notification dated 05.12.2022 which has been quashed by this Court vide judgment and order dated 27.12.2022 in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No.878 of 2022.

In view of the directions issued by the Apex Court to conduct a fresh exercise in relation to the reservation for the OBC category, the present petition is rendered infructuous and is dismissed, accordingly.
