It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has filed an appeal under Section 207 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 before the Commissioner, Kanpur Mandal, Kanpur challenging the judgment and order dated 5.5.2022 passed under Section 116 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006. The aforesaid appeal has been filed on 30.5.2022, however, till date no order has been passed. He further submits that the stay application has also been filed along with the appeal. However, on the stay application also till date no order has been passed. He submits that there is inordinate delay for proceeding with the appeal.

Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State submits that the appeal of the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, it is hereby provided that the stay application of the petitioner shall be decided within two weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and the appeal of the petitioner shall be decided further within a period of two months thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, writ petition is disposed of.
