Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned AGA for the State.

This writ petition has been filed seeking protection of life and liberty in the light of judgment of the Apex Court in the case of Lata Singh vs. State of U.P. & Ors. [(2006) 5 SCC 475]. The petitioners are major and have entered into marriage. The protection has been prayed in reference of Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

Taking into consideration the documents on record, more particularly, the age and marriage certificates, we direct the opposite parties to adequately provide protection to the petitioners of their life and liberty.

With the aforesaid direction, writ petition is disposed of.
