About NMDFC
The National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation was incorporated on September 30, 1994, as a not-for-profit company under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, now governed under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.
NMDFC functions under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Its primary mandate is to provide concessional finance to backward sections among notified minorities for self-employment and income-generation activities.
About the Internship
NMDFC has launched an internship scheme for students pursuing graduate/postgraduate courses in various disciplines, including law, from recognized universities/institutions in India.
The interns will gain exposure to the functioning of different departments within NMDFC and contribute to the work of the corporation. The internship aims to provide practical exposure and help students further their career objectives.
Eligibility Criteria
Students pursuing UG/PG in law are eligible to apply.
Bonafide students of recognized universities/institutions in India fulfilling the following conditions may apply in the legal and recovery discipline:
- Candidates must have secured at least 70% marks or the equivalent in the last examination.
- Candidates must also have secured at least 85% marks in Class XII.
Students who have appeared in the final examination or have recently completed graduation/post-graduation (awaiting results) may also apply, subject to the following conditions:
- The candidate must have secured at least 70% cumulative marks in all semesters/years till the date of application.
- The candidate must have secured at least 85% marks in Class XII.
- The gap between the declaration of the final result and the commencement of the internship should not exceed six months.
Duration
The internship is available throughout the year based on the requirements of NMDFC.
- Initial duration: 3 months
- Extendable by an additional 3 months
Perks
- Exposure to the functioning of a Government of India undertaking.
- An internship completion certificate is issued by the concerned head of the department at NMDFC upon successful completion.
