School of Legal Studies

The School of Legal Studies offers graduate and post graduate programmes with an objective of preparing law professionals, with a sound understanding of the foundations of legal knowledge. The school offers B.A., LL. B (Hons.), B.B.A, LL. B (Hons.) of five-year duration and one-year LLM in Business & Corporate Law and Criminal Law. The school also undertakes various consultancy projects. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure including Moot Court Hall, Legal Aid Clinic, library with variety of print and online resources. The school focuses on advancement and dissemination of knowledge of law and legal processes in the context of national development. The school in addition to its well experienced and qualified law faculty members invites regularly practicing lawyers and legal luminaries as adjunct faculty, guest faculty members to facilitate practical exposure to the students.

About FDP

A Faculty Development Program (FDP) serves as a tool to enhance the knowledge and professional skills of faculty members, aiming to boost their performance in education, research, and administration. Additionally, FDPs contribute to the development of organizational capacities and culture within an institution. These programs not only assist faculty members in improving their instructional capabilities in contemporary educational pedagogy but also facilitate their professional development, providing a better understanding of their roles as educators, researchers, and administrators. Moreover, FDPs play a role in organizational development by addressing the specific requirements and concerns of an institution. They are valuable for the career and personal development of faculty members, emphasizing life planning, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.

This Faculty Development Program has been tailored to explore, discuss, and generate insights into the utilization of technological advancements in the fields of Education, Management, and Law. Early-career researchers, academics, legal experts, and other attendees will benefit from the valuable opportunity to gain knowledge from a distinguished panel of experts. These experts will deliver talks on a range of current issues pertaining to the application of emerging technologies in education and research.

The purpose of this programme is to provide an opportunity for distinguished scholars/ researchers/teachers to engage with the young faculty members and share their experiences and perspectives relating to newer methods and techniques used in teaching and research with the help of upcoming technologies. The focus of the FDP shall also be the deliberation on the impact of these technologies on academia while identifying the gaps and suggesting future reforms therein.
