August 11,2017:

Immovable Property Returns for the last year were to be filed by January 31, 2017.

As many as 379 IAS officers have not filed their Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) for 2016, Government has told the Parliament.

"Out of the 5,004 officers as per the Civil list 2017, as on date 379 IAS officers have not filed their IPRs for year 2016. Of these, 38 officers have retired till date and two have expired," Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel submitted a written reply in Rajya Sabha.

Of the total number of officers, highest are 37 from Manipur-Tripura cadre, 34 of the Union Territories Cadre, 32 of State of Andhra Pradesh, 31 of State UP, 27 of WB cadre, and 22 of Punjab cadre.

As per the rules, Officials would be denied the vigilance clearance if they fail to submit the IPRs in time.
