Algo Legal, in association with The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata has launched a unique Legal Innovation and Technology Course for

students of the university. The course will commence from December 15th and is spread across a period of 8 weeks.

The course seeks to emphasize on a practical approach to ensure that law students and young  professionals gain insight into the legal industry from the perspective of a new age lawyer. The course will be guided by inputs from industry experts across legal technology and innovation areas,

including names like Anders Spile (ContractBooks), Deborah Vella (SupportLegal), John Matheson (Quant Legal Tech), embedding the concept of innovation, and delivering legal services differently.

‘The lawyers of tomorrow will be professionals who are multi-faceted and equipped with the knowledge and expertise to practice law while adapting and implementing to the changes that technology will infuse into the industry. The curriculum of the course has a diverse set of interesting subjects from insights on data digitalization and smart documentation to concepts of legal design thinking and culture of compliance. The course currently has 18 sessions that will spread across eight weeks and will see a unique mix of internal and external experts taking the students through the basics of legal innovation and technology.
