The Constitution Bench of the National Green Tribunal, comprising Justice Sheo Kumar Singh(Chairperson), Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi (Judicial Member) and Dr Senthil Vel (Expert Member) in the case of Dr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta Vs State of Haryana & Ors. has constituted a Joint Committee for fact fining against the alleged violation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and violation of the guidelines issued by NGT by the Municipal Corporation, Hisar.
The Petitioner has raised the grievance in his application against violation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and violation of the guidelines issued by NGT by the Municipal Corporation, Hisar.
The Bench perused the facts presented by the petitioner and the report furnished by the State of Haryana through its Additional Chief Secretary which pointed out that directions were issued to remediate such legacy waste which is created on account of gap existing between waste generation and processing.
Therefore the Tribunal, on detailed consideration of the matter, has constituted a Joint Committee comprising Collector, Hisar and one representative from Haryana State PCB and instructed them to visit the place and submit the factual and action taken report within four weeks.
The Bench listed the matter for further consideration on 06.09.2023.
