Job Title: Legal Consultant

Location: West Bengal

About the Position

The JVI Project seeks to engage the services of a legal consultant in Kolkata, [West Bengal] to advise various anti-human trafficking and human rights initiatives.

The position involves working in close concert with human trafficking services providers and law enforcement agencies in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal. Responsibilities will include providing a host of legal services from research and drafting briefs, to advising clients and conducting legal trainings.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or beyond with a minimum of 2 to 4 years practice in criminal/human rights law.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Bengali.
• Good Communication Skills.

Salary

Commensurate with industry standards and experience/qualifications
