The Govt. of India had enacted the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 (No.14 of 1998) on 2nd July 1998 with the objective of providing for the establishment of a Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, rationalisation of electricity tariff, transparent policies regarding subsidies, promotion of efficient and environmentally benign policies and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Job Description

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications from eligible candidates to consider filling up the post of Joint Director (Law).

Eligibility

Essential Qualifications

• Law Degree from a recognized University.
• Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis.

OR

With 2 years of regular service in the Pay Matrix Level – 12 (7th CPC)/PB-3 (pre-revised) Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-.

OR

With 5 years of regular service in the pay matrix level – 11 (7th CPC)/PB-3 (pre-revised) Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-.

Desirable Qualification

• Experience in regulatory laws.
• Knowledge in the Power Sector.
• Experience in contract/administrative law.
• Experience in handling litigations.

Salary

Rs. 118500-214100 Pay Matrix Level – 13 (7th CPC)

Pay Band-4 (pre-revised) Rs.37400-67000 with Grade Pay Rs.8700/-
