K. R. Mangalam University is a State Private University established in 2013 under Haryana Private Universities Act and is empowered to award degrees under section 2f of the UGC Act, 1956. School of Legal Studies at K.R. Mangalam University offers Bar Council of India (BCI) approved flaw courses.
About the Competition
Judgement is the most significant document for the parties, the Advocates, the legal fraternity, and ultimately the citizens of the Country. The Judgment Writing Competition, 2023, is organizing by SOLS, K. R. Mangalam University presents an exciting opportunity for law students to step into the shoes of a judge and deliver a reasoned and well-articulated judgment.
The participants are expected to base their judgments on a thorough and diligent appreciation of the factual matrix. The competition encourages innovative judgments that have meticulously examined and applied relevant legal concepts.
The objective of this event is to provide the participants with an opportunity to analyse the given proposition from the perspective of a Judge, apply the law and render a suitable Judgement.
The Participants are encouraged to apply a judicial mind to clearly analyse the evidence, enunciate the legal position, apply the law to the facts, and reach a well-reasoned and innovative conclusion.
Who is it for?
- All students pursuing 3 year or 5-year L.L.B. course or an L.L.M. course from a recognized Law School, University or Institution in India shall be eligible to participate.
- Single author or Co-Authorship up to 2 authors shall be permitted. Authors may belong to the same or different Law Schools, Universities or Institutions in India.
Registration Procedure
a) The Registration Fee for Individual Registrants is Rs. 300/- and for Team Registrants is Rs. 500/-
b) The registration fee payable for the Competition must be paid latest by May 28, 2023
c) This is an individual as well as a team event (maximum of 2 members).
d) Each individual/ team shall register for the competition by filling out the online registration form along with the payment of fees.
e) Multiple entries from a university have been allowed.
f) The registration shall be done through a Google form linked at the end of this post.
g) Mode of Payment:
- The fee for the competition shall be paid to the bank account/ through Phone pe/ Paytm / Google Pay.
