Dhai Akhar National Level Letter Writing Campaign is a campaign organized by Department of Posts to promote the art of letter writing in the country. The theme/topic of the Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign is “Letter to my motherland” inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s “Amar Desher Mati”.
The categories for National Level Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign are as follows:
Up to 18 years: Inland Letter Card Category Envelope Category
Above 18 years: Inland Letter Card Category Envelope Category
The writer of the letter will have to go to the post office and post the letter in a specially designated letter box.
The letter, in case of rural areas may be brought to the local BO and posted. The BOs will dispatch it to their respective Account Office (HO/SO) duly entered in Account Bag for further dispatch to concerned Circle Office.
The proposed prize money to be given to the winners of Circle Level and National Level Letters in each category are as follows:
National Level: First Prize: Rs. 50,000 Second Prize: Rs. 25,000 Third Prize: Rs. 10,000
Circle Level: First Prize: Rs. 25,000 Second Prize: Rs. 10,000 Third Prize: Rs. 5,000
Note: There are 22 circles and hence the total prize money comes to around Rs. 9 lakhs.
