CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831, which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
The Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) will be hosting the 9th edition of its annual flagship event, the National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition (NTAC), 2023-2024.
The flagship event will witness the presence of many eminent personalities from the legal fields ranging from senior advocates to Karnataka High Court judges. The Competition is open for all students who are pursuing a three-year or five-year Law Degree Course in Universities/Colleges/Law Departments in India, as recognized by the Bar Council of India.
It will be conducted from 15th to 17th February 2024 and will be completely offline. In the previous eight editions, NTAC has witnessed participants from law schools across the country and has successfully contributed to the promotion of a trial culture and criminal litigation.
NTAC prides itself on being a one-of-a-kind trial experience that helps in honing one’s research skills, and overall prowess of courtroom etiquette. This prestigious event has brought together multiple skilled teams from all over the country to compete in court halls which have witnessed some of the best Trial Advocacy Competitions.
The Competition is open for all students who are pursuing a three-year or five-year Law Degree Course in Universities/Colleges/Law Departments in India, as recognized by the Bar Council of India. The Participants should send a picture of their University ID Card for verification.
The 9th National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition 2023-24 shall be held from February 15th to 17th, 2024 in CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore Central Campus. It will be held offline.
Participation in the 9th SLCU National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition is restricted to 30 teams only. Institutions/Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to provisionally register through the link given at the end of the post.
Institutions/Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to provisionally register by sending an e-mail to criminallaw.committee@law.christuniversity.in and only after confirmation of the provisional slot by the Organizers, should they complete the formalities of the final registration.
The slots shall be reserved based on a ‘first come’ basis for the first 30 teams. The teams through their respective Official College Email ID or any other recognized student association Email ID are to submit the duly filled Registration form.
