Friends Beyond Species – Society for Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare, NLUO was established in 2017 to raise awareness on animal and environmental welfare and to initiate discourse on some of the most key socio-legal issues in the field.
The Committee, in the last few years, has undertaken various activities to advance the cause of animal and environmental welfare, ranging from a National Conference in 2018 to running the first Blog in the country dedicated to animal and environmental law and policy.
The objective of the course is to create awareness amongst people about the legal regime surrounding animal welfare in India. Through the course, it is also aimed at people in the legal fraternity become well equipped to better understand this field of law and be successful agents in guaranteeing and protecting the rights of sentient beings. The course shall be conducted by a number of experts in the field over a span of two weeks.
The Course shall be open to all law students and academicians interested in animal welfare. All the participants shall be given a certificate of completion on attending all the classes and completing the concerned assignments.
The Course shall be conducted virtually.
