About the Institution

To cater to the need for legal education and profession with quality and potential legal professionals in the western region of Maharashtra, Bharati Vidyapeeth has established B.V. New Law College, Sangli (Estb.1997, NAAC- ‘A’ Grade in 2016).

About the National Seminar

‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. India has paid the price of the Independence in several forms. Freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

The Dominion of India was changed into the Union of India. India formally became an independent State on  August 15, 1947, and it was resolved that India is the Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic on January 26, 1950.

The status, rights, powers, and duties of the people were transformed and subjected to the principles of Equality, Justice, Liberty, and Fraternity.

Its high time to introspect the citizens, organizations, political parties, and all the stakeholders of the country so as to define the roadmap ahead. India, what was? What is and what ought to be? After its 75th year of independence, what would be the role of citizens, governments, parties, etc. in order to make India a civilized and developed country?

The seminar intends to have extensive deliberation on the political, economic, social, religious, cultural, commercial, and legal issues and fields. It would be helpful to understand the past, present, and future of the country in these respective fields.

Eligibility

Seminar papers are invited for the presentation purpose only from various faculty stakeholders and scholars from Law, Social Sciences, Women Studies, Journalism, I.T., Library and Information Science, Commerce, NGOs, Police and Administrative personnel, etc. so as to make this dialogue fruitful.
