Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an accused Head-Constable of RPF, Bimalgarh, District Sundargarh, Odisha for demanding and accepting a bribe from the complainant.
A case was registered by CBI on 08.05.2025, against two accused including an Inspector and said Head-Constable on allegations that accused demanded illegal gratification from complainant for allowing him to run his Dhaba-cum-Barber shop smoothly, on the Railway land at Barsuan.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Head-Constable red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe from the complainant at Bimalgarh District Sundergarh, Odisha.
Later, the accused was arrested and produced before CBI Special Court Bhubneshwar. Accused was sent to judicial custody till 15.05.2025 by the Court.
Investigation is continuing.
