Life of all interim orders passed by HC, Subordinate Courts and Tribunals in this State till July 6 [Read Notice]

On Tuesday, the Karnataka High Court has extended the operational life of all interim orders passed by it and Subordinate Courts and Tribunals until July 6, 2020, amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The Administration has issued the order based on a judicial order earlier passed by Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice B V Nagarathna.

Just previously, the High Court had extended the life of all interim orders passed by itself, as well as all other Courts and Tribunals in the state, till June 5, 2020.

The order state that all bail orders and anticipatory bail orders likely to expire in one month from will stand extended for a period of one month and if any orders of eviction, dispossession or demolition are already passed by the High Court, District or Civil Courts, the same shall remain in abeyance for a period of one month.

The Bench had also urged the State Government, Municipal Authorities and other agencies and instrumentalities of the State Government to be slow in taking action of demolition and eviction of persons, due to the prevalent Lockdown situation.

This order has now been extended further until July 6.
