NIRF Rankings 2024: NLSIU Bengaluru, NLU Delhi NALSAR continue to retain their positions again, details here

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru has attained the top position in the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024. It is not the first time that NLSIU has attained first rank in the NIRF, the institute has maintained this position for the seventh time in a row.

The NLU Delhi has scored 77.48, NALSAR University Hyderabad has scored 77.05 and WBNUJS has scored 76.39. The NLU Delhi, NALSAR Hyderabad and WBNUJS have retained their second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Here is the list of the top 20 institutions that have attained positions in NIRF 2024:

The three new categories have been released this year, that is, Open Universities, Skill Universities and State-funded government universities. A total of 10,885 applications were received this year. Last year, around 5,543 higher education institutions took part in the ranking.

The evaluation criteria this year have also been changed. The faculty-to-student ratio has been changed from 1:15 to 1:10 in medical institutes and increased from 1:15 to 1:20 in the state government universities.

The NIRF 2024 rankings have been published on the website – nirfindia.org/. The top-ranking institutions have been categorised into 16 categories — overall, universities, medical, engineering, management, law, architecture, research institutions, colleges, pharmacy, dental, agriculture and allied sectors, state-funded government universities, skill universities, open universities and innovation.
