In reply to RTI Application filed by Gagan Gandhi, Managing Partner, NitiNyaya Law Office it has been revealed that 24 Crores has been spent by Govt of NCT of Delhi on both electronic and print media till 15/05/2020 whereas it does not have funds to pay Salary to the Doctors who went on pen strike .

It is amusing to note that this comes at a time when the Government is facing problem of funds and had to increase the tax on alcohol in order to generate enough revenue.

The Government has to decide its priorities with respect to fighting Covid pandemic and it cannot run with the hare and hunt with the hound .

Calculating the rate at which this amount is being spent on spreading awareness on Covid pandemic ,the figures would have touched 100 Crores .
