PRESS RELEASE: Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Advises Alpha Wave Global in USD 1 Billion Investment Round in Nxtra Data

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.(SAM) acted as legal counsel to Alpha Wave Global in connection with its investment in Nxtra Data Limited, alongside global investors Carlyle and Anchorage Capital, and Bharti Airtel Limited. The transaction marks one of the largest investments in India’s data centre sector, with a total investment of USD 1 billion (USD 435 million by Alpha Wave, USD 240 million by Carlyle, USD 35 million of Anchorage Capital, and USD 290 million by Airtel).

Nxtra, the data centre arm of Airtel, is a key player in India’s digital infrastructure landscape, with a significant share of the country’s data centre capacity and a growing nationwide footprint.
