Parliament appoints Parliamentary Standing Committee 2020-2021 [Read Text]

The Departmentally Related Standing Committees of Parliament have been constituted for year 2020-21. The new committees will be effective from 13 September. The number of departmental committees in both houses of Parliament is 24, out of which 8 committees are under Rajya Sabha.

The Chairman of Rajya Sabha has nominated 10 members of Rajya Sabha along with the chairman of these eight committees in all other committees.

The Lok Sabha Speaker has nominated 21members from the Lok Sabha in each committee for 16 committees.

The Parliamentary Standing Committees and its Chairperson are given below-
