Justice not confined to Courts: High Court Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh

Justice isn't confined to Courts. It permeates across society. Performing one’s duty sincerely & not depriving anyone of their right is also Justice. One should do every work efficiently & truthfully & give top priority to Society & Country. This was observed on Sunday by Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the High Court of Jharkhand during Legal Services cum Empowerment Camp organized at Dhalbhum Club under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur, & East Singhbhum district administration. 

Justice Singh said the camp was a great initiative to ensure the transfer of benefits of various Govt schemes to the beneficiaries through various stalls set up by the Govt departments. He said it is the duty of the Judiciary, Legislature & Executive organs of democracy to bring about prosperity & Justice in the lives of the common man.

Also present on the occasion was the Principal District & Sessions Judge of Jamshedpur Civil Court Manoj Prasad. He said the camp was organized to provide benefits of Govt schemes to the people. He said the camp was an endeavour to bridge the gap between the common man & the Judiciary. Giving benefits of Govt schemes to people is also a form of Justice, said Justice Singh. 

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla said the empowerment camp aimed at informing various people including labourers, widows, women, differently-abled people & other backward & poor people about the benefits of Govt schemes. Public welfare is the central theme of the programme, he said.

Several departments had set up their stalls at the camp. They included fishery, rural development, labour, employment & training, agriculture, animal husbandry & cooperative department, bank, supply, health, land, social welfare & skill development departments.

Other dignitaries present there included SP City Subhash Chandra Jaat, Jharkhand State Bar Council acting Chairman Rajesh Shukla & District Bar Association president Ajit Kumar Ambastha. Many district officials were present at the camp.

Assets worth Rs 37.75 crore distributed

Assets worth Rs 37.75 crore were distributed among 37,872 beneficiaries during the Legal Services cum Empowerment Camp at Dhalbhum Club today. The guests of the occasion jointly distributed the assets & also inspected various stalls set up by government departments. Top 3 stalls were selected & their organizers were awarded by the chief guest. Skill Development, Ghaghidih Central Jail & Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) secured the first three prizes respectively.
