Justice Markandey Katju booked for Sedition after offering Kashmir and Bihar to Pakistan

Biharis should go to UN to make a complaint against me, said J. Katju.

Post the rage over his remarks on Kashmir and Bihar, former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju has now been booked for Sedition charge.

The complaint has been made by a JD(U) MLC. It is actuated against his online post that Pakistan should be offered Kashmir on the condition that it takes Bihar too.

Another complaint was also filed Wednesday in the district court against J. Katju, who had hit back at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his critical remarks and churned out more taunting posts.

Justice Katju has now been booked under Section 124-A (sedition) and other sections of IPC, according to SHO of Shashtri Nagar police station Birendra Pratap.

The complaint invokes registration of a case for offences under sections 124 (A) (sedition), 500 (Punishment for defemation), 501 (Printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory and 505 (Statements conducting to public mischief) of IPC.

The date for hearing the plea is yet to be decided.

J. Katju’s comments on Facebook about Bihar have enraged the nation with sharp criticism coming from Bihar.

He offered a package deal to Pakistan, Katju wrote on his Facebook Page that Pakistan could get Kashmir if it was ready to take Bihar as well.

Applying salt on the wounds, he said, I suggest Biharis should take their complaint against me to the United.Nations. “When ‘cheer haran’ of Draupadi was being done, she appealed to none other than Lord Krishna to save her honour,”

J. Katju also wrote on his Facebook post that“CM Nitish Kumar says that I consider myself as the ‘ mai baap’ of Bihar.  But you are wrong  Nitishji, I am not the ‘mai baap’ of Biharis but their Shakuni Mama.
