About the Office 

Madhya Pradesh State Information Commission (MPSIC) is a statutory body constituted under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) entrusted with the power to receive and inquire into the appeals & complaints filed under the RTI Act. The MPSIC office is situated in Arera Hills, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Office of Rahul Singh, State Information Commissioner, MPSIC has entered into MoU with Zenith Society for Socio-Legal Empowerment to design innovative strategies for improving the system in transparency and accountability in the system under the guidance of Shri Rahul Singh.

He has given many landmark orders to promote a transparency regime, started RTI Helpline for citizens, and started online hearing of cases to make it accessible to citizens in remote areas.

Roles and Responsibilities

The interns shall be expected to research on various subjects related to RTI, Indian Constitution, Public Records Act, CPC, and Official Secrets Act to assist in the adjudicatory process and supplement the process of hearings in the Commission. 

Eligibility

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in the field of law are encouraged to apply.
• Students are required to be well versed in English and Hindi language. 

Stipend 

The internship is voluntary and unpaid.

Duration of Internship 

All internships are offered for at least 4 weeks and may be extended by the Office of the Information Commissioner.
