Major Anti-Counterfeiting Raid in Karol Bagh; Fake Honda Two-Wheeler Parts Seized

In a significant anti-counterfeiting operation, the District Investigation Unit (DIU), in coordination with the authorized representative United & United of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., conducted a major raid on February 24, 2026, leading to the seizure of a large quantity of counterfeit Honda two-wheeler parts.

The enforcement action was carried out at two packaging units and suppliers/stockiest operating in the notorious market of Karol Bagh, New Delhi–110005, following credible intelligence indicating large-scale involvement in the manufacture, packaging, and distribution of fake Honda products. The premises targeted included Prince Auto Mobiles and unnamed packaging unit. The operation was led by police authorities under the supervision of Investigation Officer Mr. Rajender Singh.

The accused persons in the matter have been identified as Prakash Kumar, and Arjun Singh.

During the raid, police officials recovered and seized a substantial cache of counterfeit two-wheeler components bearing the HONDA trademark. The seized items included counterfeit dye moulds marked “HONDA,” Honda air filters, outer coverings of air filters, and filter paper. In total, nearly 4,961 pieces of counterfeit HONDA products were confiscated, dealing a significant blow to the counterfeit supply chain operating in the area.

The action was initiated under Sections 103 and 104 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999. An F.I.R. bearing No. 0241/2026 has been registered against the accused persons. All seized goods have been secured in the police warehouse and will be produced before the competent magistrate as part of the ongoing legal proceedings. According to sources, the raid has disrupted a major distribution network supplying counterfeit auto parts in the region.

Officials stated that the operation serves as a strong deterrent against the illegal trade of counterfeit automotive components, which not only infringe intellectual property rights but also pose serious risks to consumer safety and vehicle performance.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has appreciated the swift and effective action taken by the police authorities. The company’s legal representatives reiterated their commitment to working closely with law enforcement agencies to safeguard the Honda brand and protect consumers from the dangers associated with counterfeit products.
