About the National Drafting Competition

The Moot Court Committee of BBD University, School of Legal Studies is organizing its 1st National Drafting Competition. In our dynamic and evolving legal landscape, the role of writ petitions and PILs cannot be overstated.

These legal tools serve as a beacon of hope, ensuring that justice is accessible and effectively delivered. This competition aims to provide a platform for law students across India to showcase their drafting skills and legal acumen.

This unique opportunity fosters a deeper understanding of the legal profession’s social impact and empowers students to actively address social inequalities through legal advocacy.

By participating, individuals not only enrich their legal knowledge but also take tangible steps towards a more equitable and inclusive society, making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Eligibility

  • The competition shall be open for the students currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in law i.e. 3 years LL.B. course or 5 years LL.B. course from any recognized University/College in India.
  • There is no restriction on the number of entries from any College or University.
  • “Individual Participation” as well as “Participation in a team of two” is allowed.

  • The participating teams should complete the Registration Form available at the link provided at the end of this post.
  • Participation is free for all. Upon successful registration, each participant or team will receive a unique team code for future reference. The deadline for registration is 20th November 2024.

  • Winner of the PIL Competition: Trophy & Certificate.
  • Runner-Up of the PIL Competition: Trophy & Certificate.
  • Winner of Writ Petition: Trophy & Certificate.

  • Release of the brochure and Registration Opening: 23rd October 2024
  • Last date of Registration & Submission: 20th November 2024
  • Release of results: 26th November 2024
