The establishment of the “Centre for Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution” at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of excellence in the fields of conflict management and dispute resolution.
This centre serves as a focal point for advancing knowledge, promoting academic discourse, and encouraging practical skills in various methods of conflict resolution, including mediation, arbitration, negotiation, and conciliation.
At the Centre for Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, we firmly believe in promoting innovation and brainstorming ideas related to mediation as a source for dispute resolution.
We consider ideas as the driving force for change. With our National Essay Writing Competition 2024, we aim to inspire participants to think outside the box and delve into the intricacies, implications, and challenges within the realm of dispute resolution and conflict management.
Through this competition, we aim to stimulate intellectual discourse and critical analysis on various aspects of mediation, including its principles, processes, techniques, and ethical considerations. By inviting submissions from law students, academicians, practitioners, and researchers from around the globe, the competition seeks to encourage in-depth research, empirical studies, and theoretical exploration of mediation practices across different contexts and jurisdictions.
Additionally, we seeks to advance networking and collaboration among participants, providing a platform for sharing insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to mediation. Through recognition and reward for outstanding contributions, the competition aims to celebrate excellence in scholarly writing and research on mediation, with a view to advancing knowledge, promoting professional development, and enhancing the effectiveness of mediation as a means of resolving conflicts and promoting access to justice.
We warmly invite you to submit your essay entries on the theme of “navigating the dynamics of mediation in contemporary legal practices”. It encompasses several suggestive sub-themes aimed at stimulating innovative ideas and insightful analysis which are as follows:-
