Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials continued their raids on Rachuri Siva Rao's residence & other locations for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The ACB sleuths have unearthed more immovable assets from the benamis of the estate manager in the tourism department.
According to ACB sleuths, they found eight more plots across Vijayawada, Krishna & Guntur districts.
These eight assets are registered in the name of Rao's mother-in-law Darla Chittemma & other close relatives & bring his total number of plots to 22.
The eight assets are situated in Nunna, Gannavaram, Gunadala, Guduru, Kankipadu & Tadepalli areas.
The highest valued land that sleuths have identified is in Gunadala area.
Officials also said the ACB court has sent Rao to judicial remand till March 7. Rao, who worked in the revenue department for most of his service allegedly abused his position to facilitate land grabbers.
Rao owns 22 plots, two flats, two houses & a 96-cent agriculture land – all located under the prime Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) limits in Vijayawada, ACB sources said.
Some time ago in a similar drive a senior official at the municipal department of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Monday night for possessing assets worth over Rs 500 crore.
