This academic event organized under the aegis of IALE (Indian Association of Law and Economics) is not only centered around the launch of the Hindi translation by Vivek Ranjan Pandey of an important book “Solomon’s Knot- How Law Can End the Poverty of Nations?” by Robert D. Cooter and Hans-Bernd Schäfer but also to provide an opportunity to deliberate on the subject of Law & Economics in India.
The learning of law is the application of rationality for advancement of justice. This century is diversified in knowledge, problems solutions and its applications. The Judiciary, Lawyers, Law Professors and Economists appreciate the complex societal problems and IALE is the academic platform created for the interaction of academia, practitioners and policy makers from the interdisciplinary perspective of Law and Economics.
The speakers will cover many diverse areas of interest and will also focus on the theme pushed by the book – how do we innovate with Law and Economics to confront the role of law in mitigating poverty.
The program is scheduled in two sessions of 60 minutes each followed by dinner. There shall be break for soup and snacks for 10 minutes. The detailed program shall be sent after confirmation of participation is received.
