About the institutes
Rama University (RU) is an educational endeavour of Rama Group. Rama University was established vide U.P. Act No. 1 of 2014 as passed by the State Legislature and recognized by UGC, Govt. of India, under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.
Faculty of Juridical Sciences, FJS: The Faculty of Juridical Sciences is an innovative educational community with a belief of preparing students for global leadership in judiciary, academia, business and government.FJS is established in 2015 and approved by the Bar Council of India & UGC.
About the Conference
Criminal law in India is in a state of flux and its contours have been constantly evolving both in substance as well as the way it is implemented.
The recent development in criminal law results in the boarding of the areas of substantive law and more narrowing of the scope of procedural safeguards through special laws. The amendments to the Indian Penal Code 1860, The India Evidence Act, 1872 and The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, with respect to the Criminal Justice System reflect the finer balance between effective crime control and individual freedom.
However, the interest of the victim of a crime has not been adequately emphasized. This national conference is meant for a meaningful discussion and debate. The outcome of the conference could propose suggestions regarding the effective and smooth functioning of the Criminal Justice System.
