NLAT 2020 got a lot of raised eyebrows after a significant number of students faced technical difficulties during the conduct. As a solution to this signifcient problem, a Technical Review Committee has recommended re-test for such candidates and asked them to appear for another exam slot.

Information to this effect has been sent out to candidates who had raised queries regarding such technical difficulties during the exam.

The RE-TEST will be conducted tomorrow at 12.30 pm said the email from the NLSIU admissions team.

Reports indicate that most students have received the emails for the re-test, including students who didn't seek technical help.

The communication sent informed the following:

  • The final slot for the NLAT 2020 exam will begin at 12 noon. After verification, the examination will begin at 12.30 pm and extend till the allotted time.

  • If the candidates choose to login for the exam, the previous exam score and answers will be erased.

  • If the candidate does not appear for the exam, the September 12 examination score will be retained as the final score.

  • Candidates will be responsible to ensure that their device satisfies the technical specifications, they provide a valid government ID and that their internet connection supports the test. This is is the final attempt. No further opportunities are available.

  • The candidates are expected to receive login details and pass key later tonight by logging in at admissions.nls.ac.in

The NLAT was conducted on Saturday in three sessions. NLSIU Bengaluru started receiving backlash after several candidates reported technical difficulties during the exam, including verification, login and facial recognition through their webcams.
