Law Minister Mr. Kiren Rijiju informed Lok Sabha that Nyaya Mitra Scheme is launched by the Government in the year 2017, which aims to facilitate expeditious disposal of 10-15 years old pending cases in High Courts and Subordinate Courts.
Law Minister was lighting the aims of Nyaya Mitra Scheme in the Lok Sabha. He further stated that since the introduction of Nyaya Mitra programme in April 2017, a total of 39 NyayaMitras were engaged in the States of Assam, Bihar, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, that had more than 1000 cases pending for last 10 years.
