Minister of State in Ministry of Home Affairs informed Lok Sabha that As per the information received from the NHRC, no incident of rape in police or judicial custody has been registered during the period from 01.04.2021 to 08.03.2022.
He replied to an Unstarred Question related to the details of rape cases reported in police custody during last one year.
He stated that the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) have been issuing advisories on measures to curb crime against women, from time to time, to ensure protection of human rights of women.
