Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the Indian legal counsel to Aquatech International LLC, a globally recognised leader in water technology and services for industrial and infrastructure markets and its promoters on the minority investment by Cerberus Capital Management, a world-renowned alternative investment fund through a purchase of primary and secondary membership interest. The minority investment is led by Cerberus's Supply Chain and Strategic Opportunities platform, which partners with companies addressing supply chain shortages.
The team was led by Ajay Sawhney, Partner (Head - Northern Region); Bhupendra Verma, Partner; with support from Anurag Mawai, Associate. SR Patnaik, Partner (Head – Taxation); with support from Thangadurai V.P, Principal Associate; provided inputs on tax. The transaction was signed on 28th February, 2025.
